Costa del Sol - the Sun Coast

Why is the Costa del Sol one of the most touristic areas of Spain? Because of its beautiful weather and over 300 days of sun a year. Any time of year is good for visiting this area. Costa del Sol boasts one of Europe's best climates. Costa del Sol attracts both tourists and home buyers. There are excellent accommodations, great swimming, very large, good selection of restaurants, modern and international atmosphere in symbiosis with an authentic Andalusian charm. Costa del Sol has also been named Costa del Golf - a veritable paradise for golfers with its amazing rich variety of golf courses, many of absolute world class. See map of Costa del Sol.

Costa del Sol has long been a major tourist destination and for home purchases. Many have moved here for full time or spend the winter here. Excellent buying opportunities now, prices are going up, not just older people who buy more, but also younger. Costa del Sol is in great demand; it has a year-round warm climate and stunning beaches. Moreover, the intense competition between low-cost airlines has made it easier and cheaper to travel here.

Without doubt the Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Stretching from Almeria to Tarifa, it caters for all tastes, ages and nationalities; with such a wide range of facilities and attractions, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The property market recovery in Marbella and the Costa Del Sol, is undoubtedly due to the more diversified foreign investors, who are better financed, and taking advantage of today's bargain prices and low interest rates. After seven years of a property crisis, there are finally some signs of light at the end of the tunnel for the Spanish property market… at least in the best areas prime parts of the coast where foreign buyers tend to buy.
Even more encouragingly, the Spanish housing market has grown on an annualised basis for five consecutive months, and in ten out of the last eleven months, suggesting that the market has finally found a floor after seven years of declines. Malaga province, home to the Costa del Sol, was the star performer in 2015, with sales up 20 % in the year, compared to a national average of 4%. Based on this data it looks like the
Costa del Sol housing market is clearly recovering.
